Why Get Involved with GENERATION REDIRECT™?
Our goal is to enrich and empower the communities we serve utilizing our core principles for social change and accountability: Family Dynamics, STEM Education and Mentorship, Workforce Skills Development, and Civic Engagement and Outreach. We pride ourselves on providing access to resources that our communities can leverage to redirect focus and outlook in society, recognize the value of diversity, and produce a generation of leaders to carry us into the future.
Our Programs
College Tours
We take a unique perspective on college tours. The intent of our tours are to expose our youth to higher learning institutions that have a strong emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related curriculum and careers.
We target top universities regarded as “elite” that also have a disproportionate amount of minorities within their ranks with many minorities not given the opportunity to attend given the challenging admissions process and the fact that many minority youth are not given the proper tools to prepare for that challenge.
Workshops
It has been our experience that the youth who partake in our activities and events come away with a strong sense of pride and determination to become valuable contributors to our society.
Many have expressed interest into someday owning their own businesses and explore all aspects of entrepreneurship. GENERATION REDIRECT™ looks to quench the thirst for entrepreneurship through our Entrepeneurship Workshops.
Recreational Outings
We also know that our youth like to have a little fun as well! All work and no play makes for an imbalanced life! GENERATION REDIRECT™ encourages “letting your hair down” by providing opportunities for fun and fellowship through our recreational outings planned throughout the year.
Conferences & Seminars
Our empowerment conferences & seminars are designed to provide much needed guidance, information, and support resources to tackle many of the systemic issues that impact our society.
Community Outreach
GENERATION REDIRECT™ proudly supports local community outreach activities either as a partner, sponsor, and/or participant. Our goal is to serve our community and join with other like-minded community service organizations under a common vision and mission to execute on programs and activities that foster community involvement and growth.
